1N5822 is a Schottky diode that is commonly used in low voltage, high frequency inverters, free wheeling, polarity protection and small battery chargers. It has a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 40V and a maximum average forward rectified current of 3A.

The major use case for the 1N5822 Schottky diode is low-voltage power systems, where the design requires a low applied voltage to pass moderate forward currents through the component. Because of the relatively low forward current, the 1N5822 can use as a discrete component in bridge rectifiers.
