Project Board Veroboard Prototyping Board is a printed circuit board that’s designed with rows of copper tracks with holes drilled in then for electronic components to be soldered to construct electronic circuits. Veroboard is a brand of stripboard, a pre-formed circuit board material of copper strips on an insulating bonded paper board which was originated and developed in the early 1960s.

Project Board Veroboard Prototyping Board makes it easy to use for creating temporary prototypes and experimenting with circuit design. A stripboard (Veroboard) and similar prototyping printed circuit boards, which uses to build semi-permanent soldered prototypes or one-offs, cannot easily  reuse.

Stripboard is one of the commonly-used types of prototyping board. These boards are intended for permanently assembling one-off circuits, especially prototypes. The board is made from insulating material, usually a resin-bonded plastic or fiberglass. One side has parallel copper strips on it, spaced 2.54 mm apart.

There are holes bored in these strips, also 2.54 mm apart. Components are placed on the other side of the board with their wires bent to pass through the holes. The wires are soldered to the copper strips, the projecting ends being cut off to make the assembly neater.

The strips correspond to the rows of sockets on breadboards, allowing several components to join together, but a strip has many more than five holes so numerous connections are possible.

Using a special tool, strips can be cut into shorter lengths where it is necessary to use one strip for making several different connections. A circuit built on stripboard has permanently soldered connections, but it is not difficult to remove a component and solder in one of a different value, or even to completely modify part of the circuit.

Features: –

  • Clean all parts – copper printed circuit board track, component leads, soldering iron bit – before soldering.
  • Make a reliable mechanical joint – before soldering.
  • Heat the joint sufficiently – before applying solder.
  • Apply the solder – keeping the soldering iron on the joint while the solder melts.
  • Remove the soldering iron and allow the solder to solidify – before handling or moving the joint.
  • Trim the excess component lead from the joint, once the joint has solidified and cooled sufficiently to allow handling.
