74HC14 Hex Inverter with Schmitt-Trigger Inputs

@ MODERN HALLROAD

The 74HC14; 74HCT14 is a hex inverter with Schmitt-trigger inputs. This device features reduced input threshold levels to allow interfacing to TTL logic levels. Inputs also include clamp diodes, this enables the use of current limiting resistors to interface inputs to voltages in excess of VCC. Schmitt trigger inputs transform slowly changing input signals into sharply defined jitter-free output signals.

74HC14 Hex Inverter is a member of 74XXXX integrated circuit series, it consists of logic gates. This module is also called HEX Inverting Schmitt Trigger. It is available in six independent Schmitt trigger input inverters with standard push-pull outputs. The boolean function performed by this logic gates is Y=A. It is a 14 pin module which is available in various packages.

The 74HC14 Hex Inverter works on the voltage range of 2.0V to 6.0V. This is a higher speed CMOS Schmitt Inverter mounted with a silicon gate C2MOS technology.

74HC14 IC has six NOT gates with SCHMITT TRIGGER. Hence name HEX INVERTING SCHMITT TRIGGER. 74HC14 utilizes advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology to achieve the low power dissipation and high noise immunity of standard CMOS, as well as the capability to drive 10 LS-TTL loads.

The 74HC logic family is functionally and pinout compatible with the standard 74LS logic family. All inputs are protected from damage due to static discharge by internal diode clamps to VCC and ground.

74HC14 is a hex inverter with Schmitt-trigger inputs.

The 74HC14 provides provides six independent Schmitt trigger input inverters with standard push-pull outputs. The device is designed for operation with a power supply range of 2.0V to 6.0V. The gates perform the Boolean function: Y = A
