Small Passive Buzzer Module KY-006 Speaker Module for Arduino

Small Passive Buzzer Module KY-006 also know as Speaker module consists of a passive piezoelectric buzzer. HW-508 Buzzer can generate tones between 1.5 to 2.5 kHz by switching it on and off at different frequencies either using delays or PWM.

The 5v Passive Buzzer is a 3-pin module that creates an audible sound of varying frequencies using pulse width modulation (PWM).

It can produce a range of tones and sounds depending on the input. Due to this, it is commonly used to create sound effects or simple musical notes for short songs.

A 5v Small Passive Buzzer Module KY-006 is a kind of buzzer that uses the piezoelectric effect to produce sound. By applying a voltage to the buzzer terminals, a metal plate vibrates producing a tone.

Passive buzzers are similar in function to a small speaker and need to be driven by a waveform with enough drive current capability to create the desired sound.

This is typically done using PWM from an MCU. The advantage of a passive buzzer is that the tone and loudness of the buzzer can be controlled by the frequency and drive power of the waveform that is used to drive it.

KY-006 Speaker Module is ideally suited to adding noise to your project and is compatible with a pin pitch of 2.54mm while functioning with microcontrollers such as the Arduino.

This module lets you respond to programmatic changes with a lovely annoying buzzer that can be altered over a range of frequencies to ensure maximum irritation.

To operate the I/O pin must receive a square wave to trigger the buzzer. This can be produced within all popular microcontrollers.
