The HW597 CH340 USB to TTL Converter Module is a small, easy-to-use device that allows you to connect a microcontroller or other serial device to your computer via a USB port. CH340G USB TO TTL converts the TTL (5V) signals from the microcontroller to the RS232 (3.3V or 5V) signals that your computer can understand.

To use the HW597 CH340 USB to TTL Converter Module, you will need to install the drivers for the CH340 chip. Once the drivers are installed, you can connect the module to your computer using a USB cable. The module will then appear as a COM port on your computer. You can then use a serial terminal program to communicate with the microcontroller or other device that is connected to the module.

HW597 CH340 USB to TTL Converter Module are a series of USB bus adapters, that provides serial, parallel or IrDA interfaces over USB bus. The CH340G integrate circuit provides common MODEM signals to allow adding a UART Devices to a computer, or converting existing UART devices to USB interface.

Data pins include TX, RX, CTS and DTR. These digital pins are at 5V TTL levels allowing them to be directly interfaced most 5V microcontrollers. The HW597 CH340 USB to TTL Converter Module makes use of the CH340 USB to serial IC to provide a low cost alternative to our popular FTDI based module.

Although much cheaper this module doesn’t lack in features or usability. Once you have installed the drivers the module will appear as a normal serial COM port on your computer making it compatible with most terminal programs and development environments such as the Arduino IDE.
