The TTP223B Digital Touch Sensor Switch Module is a touchpad detector which offers 1 touch key. The touching detection is designed for replacing traditional direct button key. The touch sensor can use for various projects.

A TTP223B capacitive touch sensor module based on the dedicated TTP223 touch sensor IC. The module provides a single integrated touch sensing area of 11 x 10.5mm with a sensor range of ~5mm.

An on-board LED will give a visual indication of when the sensor triggered. When triggered the module’s output will switch from its idle low state to high (default operation). Solder jumpers allow for reconfiguring its mode of operation to be either active low or toggle output.

TTP223B Digital Touch Sensor Switch Module Normally, it outputs low and keeps at low power state. When a touch is sensed on the circular marked region, it outputs high and switch to the quick response state. When not being touched for 12 seconds, it switches to low power state again.

If the module mounted in the surfaces of non-metallic materials such as plastic, glass, acrylic, you can make the keys hidden in the walls and desks.

One of the main differences is that it detects the presence of your finger on the sensor. This means that it doesn’t require any force to activate the button.

Depending on your setup using a capacitive touch sensor may aid your design as there is no actuation force needed. This can be useful in situations where pressing a button may stress the circuit board.

This TTP223B Digital Touch Sensor Switch Module has three standard pins, VCC, GND and SIG. Like a standard button, when it is pressed it will output a high signal on its output (SIG). The VCC pin will accept voltages from 2 to 5.5 Volts.

  • All output modes can be selected active high or active low by pad option(AHLB pin) After power-on have about 0.5sec stable-time, during the time do not touch the key pad, And the function is disabled
  • Auto calibration for life At low power mode the re-calibration period is about 4.0sec normally, When key detected touch and released touch, the auto re-calibration will be redoing after about 16sec from releasing key
  • The sensitivity of TTP223N-BA6 is better than TTP223-BA6’s. But the stability of TTP223N-BA6 is worse than TTP223-BA6’s.
