TCRT5000 IR Barrier Line Track ( Line following ) Sensor is a small, easy-to-use sensor that can be used to detect black lines on a white surface. It is commonly used in line following robots. TCRT5000 IR sensor module is a reflective sensor that is commonly used in robotic Projects and other applications that require proximity detection.

The TCRT5000 Tracking Module consists of an infrared LED and a phototransistor, both of which are housed in a black package that blocks visible light.
