KY-033 IR Line Tracking Sensor Module Line Following Sensor

KY-033 IR Line Tracking Sensor Module also known as line following/tracking sensor works by detecting reflected light coming from its own infrared LED and by measuring the amount of reflected infrared light.

KY-033 IR Line Tracking Sensor Module can detect transitions from light to dark (lines) or even objects directly in front of it.

Line following/tracking sensor detect the presence of a black line by emitting infrared (IR) light and detecting the light levels that return to the sensor. They do this using two components: an emitter and a light sensor (receiver)

The IR Line Tracking Sensor is most useful for detecting a contrast between dark and light objects. This makes it particularly well suited for tracking dark lines on light surfaces.

IR line detection sensor module based on infrared (IR) reflection and it is super easy to use. The sensor has been mounted at the bottom of the module, perfect for mobile robot line detection. It comes with an onboard potentiometer to adjust the sensitivity.

IR sensors are the one which are widely used for the development of a line follower robot. There are some basic things to follow where white surface of the black line reflects light and the black line receives it after the transmission.
