TSL2561 LUX Sensor I2C Interface Luminosity Sensor Module

The TSL2561 LUX Sensor I2C Interface Luminosity Sensor Module is a complex light sensor which has a flat response across most of the visible spectrum range. This sensor is capable of direct I2C communication and is able to conduct specific light ranges from 0.1 – 40k+ Lux easily.

The TSL2561 LUX Sensor I2C Interface Luminosity Sensor Module is an inexpensive, yet sophisticated, light sensor. Unlike simpler sensors, like photoresistors and photodiodes, the TSL2561 LUX Sensor incorporates both infrared and visible light sensors to better approximate the response of the human eye. Because the TSL2561 is an integrating sensor , it is capable of measuring both very small and very large amounts of light.

The TSL2561 LUX Sensor I2C Interface Luminosity Sensor Module is capable of direct I2C communication and is able to conduct specific light ranges from 0.1 – 40k+ Lux easily. Additionally, the TSL2561 LUX Sensor contains two integrating analog-to-digital converters (ADC) that integrate currents from two photodiodes, simultaneously

The TSL2561 LUX Sensor I2C Interface Luminosity Sensor Module is an advanced digital light sensor, ideal for use in a wide range of light situations. Compared to low cost CdS cells, this sensor is more precise, allowing for exact Lux calculations and can be configured for different gain/timing ranges to detect light ranges from up to 0.1 – 40,000+ Lux on the fly. The best part of this sensor is that it contains both infrared and full spectrum diodes! That means you can separately measure infrared, full-spectrum.

TSL2561 LUX Sensor is a device can be easily connected to a microcontroller or embedded controller. No external circuitry is required for signal conditioning, thereby saving PCB real estate as well. Since the output of the TSL2561 device is digital, the output is effectively immune to noise when compared to an analog signal
